Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift; days vary / per-diem scheduling)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist residents with bathing, dressing, mobility, and toileting while preserving dignity
Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
Document care accurately and timely in charts or electronic health records
Support safe transfer and ambulation techniques to minimize fall risk
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, respectful environment
Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
Comfortable providing hands-on care to diverse patient populations
Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Reliable transportation for per-diem shifts

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Proven ability to assist with ADLs and basic patient care
Familiarity with charting and basic documentation practices
Knowledge of infection control and patient safety principles
Effective interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner
Ability to follow care plans and direction from licensed nurses
Time management skills to prioritize resident needs during shifts
