Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patients' mobility, strength and functional needs to set meaningful goals
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that improve function
Provide hands-on therapy and instruct patients and caregivers in safe techniques
Track and document patient progress clearly and timely
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
Participate actively in orientation and share best practices with new staff

Qualifications

Current, active Physical Therapist license in Washington (or ability to obtain)
Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
Excellent communication skills with patients, families and team members
Professionalism, dependability and a patient-centered attitude

Education

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; entry-level or equivalent degree from an accredited program required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education and mobility training
Knowledge of documentation standards and electronic health records
Ability to teach patients and families safe transfer and home exercise programs
Good clinical reasoning and problem solving in fast-paced settings
Teamwork, time management and clear interpersonal communication
