Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with every other weekend rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population including oncology and trauma PCU patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for side effects (preferred certification)
Titrate commonly used drips like insulin and cardizem as needed
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, PT/OT, social workers, and dietitians
Float to med-surg and PCU units as needed to support team coverage
Maintain a safe, healing environment while adhering to patient experience standards like hourly rounding

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Med-Surg experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state (NLC)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification strongly preferred
EPIC experience highly valued
Valid driver's license required at submission to verify 50-mile radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000)
Comfortable with IV pumps (Alaris) and EPIC EMR
Ability to titrate drips like cardizem, heparin, and protonix
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Commitment to patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity
