Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, primarily 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with self-scheduling and every other weekend requirement. Additional shift options include 7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p, 11p-7a, 7p-7a as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a mixed PCU/MedSurg unit
• Administer chemotherapy and manage intravenous drips such as heparin and cardizem
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT, OT, social work, and dietary
• Monitor patient hemodynamic status and respond to changes in condition
• Participate in hourly rounding and patient safety initiatives to ensure high-quality outcomes
• Support patients and families through diagnosis, treatment, and end-of-life care with dignity

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact license
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required at time of start
• Minimum 1 year of experience in PCU, Oncology, or MedSurg nursing
• EPIC experience preferred but not required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and IV therapy
• Competency in hemodynamic monitoring and critical care drips
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps and EPIC electronic medical record
• Strong teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
