RN (Registered Nurse) - PCU

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU
Monitor continuous EEG and titrate cardiac and seizure medications
Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and interdisciplinary team
Manage patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes diagnoses
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team
Maintain a positive attitude and help others succeed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of submission
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience preferred
Driver's license required for radius verification
Willingness to adhere to facility policies including no artificial nails

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in titrating drips like Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Proficiency in continuous EEG monitoring
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
