Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating day/night 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), including weekend rotation (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, Friday and Saturday nights) and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and manage patients transitioning from ICU, providing progressive care with a 1:4 ratio
Administer medications and titrate drips including Heparin, octreotide, and insulin
Interpret telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges in a high-flow unit
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery

Qualifications

Current and valid RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of PCU experience preferred
Must pass a pharmacology exam with 90% during orientation
Driver's license required at submittal (must live outside 50-mile radius and not work for any CommonSpirit affiliate)
Positive attitude and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating intravenous drips
Strong telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Capable of handling high patient turnover and admissions
