Location: Omaha, NE

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional intermediate care and step-down cardiac monitoring for a diverse patient population
- Titrate critical drips including amiodarone, nitroprusside, nicardipine, and epinephrine
- Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond to cardiac events promptly
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including intensivists and cardiologists
- Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed to ensure patient safety
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent CVU or cardiac step-down experience
- Driver's license required at submission to verify distance
- Ability to pass an open-book exam on unit skills during orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in titrating vasoactive drips and managing blood pressure
- Skilled in telemetry interpretation and patient monitoring
- Knowledge of post-surgical cardiac care and thoracic program support
- Familiarity with BiPAP and CPAP equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
