Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Monitor and manage critical drips like heparin, cardizem, and chemotherapy
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, maintaining high standards of care
Conduct hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Support patients and families through diagnosis, treatment, and end-of-life care with dignity

Qualifications

At least 1 year of RN experience in oncology and PCU
Chemotherapy certification required
Active and unencumbered RN license in Nebraska or compact license
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Comfortable with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (training available)
EPIC experience helpful but not required

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in chemotherapy administration and oncology patient care
Proficient in managing PCU-level patients and titrating drips
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, mixed-acuity unit
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
