Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal Intensive Care

Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0600-1830 or 1800-0630, every third weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide respiratory therapy to a diverse patient population from neonates to geriatrics
Manage ventilators and other respiratory equipment across the facility
Work independently and make critical clinical judgements in the NICU, ICU, and emergency departments
Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Maintain a high level of professionalism and respect among all disciplines

Qualifications

Active ND state license as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 1 year of NICU experience (must-have)
Comfortable with Level II trauma, surgical, cardiac, and medical cases
Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ventilator management including PB 840, PB 980, Hamilton C1, and V-60 Respironics
Experience with Airvo high flow therapy and MR1 equipment
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
