Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a telemetry/cardiac unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, including telemetry strips
Administer medications and titrate drips such as Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, and Lasix
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to manage patient care
Care for patients with diagnoses including cardiac cath, EP studies, pacer, ETOH, COVID, pneumonia, and sepsis
Assist with respiratory equipment like Bipap, trachs, and Airvo as needed
Float to PCU or Med/Surg units as required, supporting full patient assignments

Qualifications

Must have current BLS and ACLS certifications
PCU experience required
Telemetry and cardiac RN experience necessary
Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms independently
Epic experience preferred but not required
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in telemetry monitoring and cardiac care
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork
Ability to manage multiple titratable drips safely
Familiarity with electronic medical records (Epic preferred)
