Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to oncology and trauma patients in a 28-bed PCU/MedSurg unit
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor for side effects; titrate drips such as heparin and cardizem
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, social work, and dieticians
• Conduct hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety
• Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed to support team coverage

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, med/surg, or oncology nursing experience
• Chemotherapy certification required (ONS/ONCC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Willingness to pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation
• Valid driver's license to verify 50-mile radius rule
• No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in EPIC electronic medical record
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps and lift equipment (Lyko)
• Competent in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (training available)
• Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and safety protocols
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
