Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Bakersfield, California
Start Date: 06-16-2026
End Date: 09-15-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM and rotating weekend call
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying studies
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients
- Operate GE imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to optimize patient care
Qualifications
- Current California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (CA NMTL)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Proficiency with GE imaging equipment
- Familiarity with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS
Knowledge & Skills
- Nuclear medicine imaging techniques and protocols
- Radiopharmaceutical preparation and administration
- Patient care and radiation safety
- Equipment troubleshooting and quality control
