Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0630-1900 or 1830-0700, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care and step-down nursing for cardiac and vascular patients
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and manage titratable drips including amiodarone, nitro, and epinephrine
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including intensivists and cardiologists
Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed
Maintain a safe and healing environment for patients and families

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent experience in CVU or similar cardiac/telemetry unit
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Driver's license required at submittal
Must be outside 50-mile radius from facility and not employed by CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating cardiac drips and managing blood pressure medications
Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula
Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry independently
Strong communication and teamwork skills
