Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Varied 8-hour shifts between 8:30 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday-Friday with occasional weekend shifts

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy services to a diverse patient population in acute care, including orthopedic, ICU, med-surg, oncology, and cardiac units
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Manage ventilator-dependent patients and those recovering from cardiac surgeries
Conduct evaluations, document progress, and adjust therapies to maximize functional outcomes
Float to outpatient if needed, hitting the ground running with minimal orientation

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience in acute care physical therapy
Current BLS certification
Active Physical Therapist license in California
Experience with ortho, total joints, ICU, and ventilated patients
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Acute care, orthopedics, ICU, cardiac, oncology, and med-surg patient management
Ventilator management and therapy for critical care patients
Proficient with Cerner EMR
Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
Team collaboration and adaptability across units
