Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) or nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient responses
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem as needed
Float to med/surg and PCU units as required
Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience
Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation

Qualifications

Active RN license
Minimum 1 year of experience in PCU and oncology nursing
Chemotherapy certification (CHEMO CERT) required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification required
EPIC experience preferred but not required
First-time travelers welcome!
Ability to pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Oncology nursing and PCU nursing
Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Chemotherapy administration and handling
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse environment
Flexibility to float between units
