Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor telemetry and vital signs for progressive care patients
Administer medications and titrate drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure meds
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
Provide education to patients and families on cardiac and neurological conditions
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of PCU experience preferred
Willingness to float to other units and work every other weekend
Positive attitude, strong communication, and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
Ability to titrate intravenous drips safely
Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication
Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
