Location: Omaha, NE

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (days) and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (nights), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care and step-down monitoring for cardiac patients
Titrate and manage critical drips including Amio, Nitro, Nicardipine, Epi, and Cardizem
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to rhythm changes
Support the thoracic program, EP lab, cath lab, and structural heart patients
Collaborate with hospitalists and intensivists for 24/7 patient care
Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to protocols

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiovascular or intermediate care nursing
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Driver's license required at submittal
Ability to pass a pass/fail open-book exam during orientation (90% required)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating vasoactive drips and managing blood pressure
Skilled in telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula respiratory support
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
Adaptable to floating and working with various patient populations
