Shift Type: Rotating nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (overnight), includes weekend coverage — typically 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts in a 6-week period
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to progressive care and med-surg patients
- Manage and care for tracheostomies, chest tubes, and ventilated/stable vented patients with confidence
- Assess patient status, intervene appropriately, and escalate changes to the care team
- Administer and monitor cardiac drips and other complex infusions safely
- Document care accurately in the EMR (Cerner) and communicate effectively during handoffs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Support a positive patient experience by educating patients and families and advocating for their needs
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential (per facility/state requirements)
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience (required)
- Hands-on experience with trach care (required)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- Experience in progressive care (PCU) or med-surg settings
- Comfortable caring for patients with ventilators, chest tubes, and cardiac drips
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Trach care and suctioning best practices
- Ventilator basics and collaboration with respiratory therapy
- Chest tube management and wound care
- Cardiac drip titration and cardiac rhythm recognition
- Progressive care and med-surg patient assessment
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record workflows
