Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC; every other weekend and holidays required
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor telemetry and interpret rhythms to catch clinical changes early and keep patients safe
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly in Meditech
- Deliver skilled med/surg nursing care with attention to detail and patient comfort
- Perform unit procedures such as PICC line and vascular/temporary catheter removal when indicated
- Collaborate with the care team, participate in bedside shift report, and promote hourly rounding
- Respond promptly to emergencies, escalate concerns, and follow ACLS and BLS protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients and families using AIDET principles to enhance experience
- Support unit goals by floating when needed and sharing best practices with peers
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in good standing (state licensure required)
- Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience (telemetry or med/surg experience preferred)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proven ability to interpret telemetry rhythms and manage telemetry patients
- Comfortable with PICC and vascular/temp cath removal or willingness to demonstrate competency
- Strong communication skills, teamwork mindset, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work every other weekend and cover holidays as part of the schedule

- Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Meditech electronic documentation
- Patient assessment and med/surg nursing fundamentals
- Dynamaps, glucometers, bladder scanner, and iMobile phone technology
- Hourly rounding, bedside shift report, and patient experience best practices (AIDET)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork
