Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients—administer medications, monitor vital signs, and follow care plans
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
• Accurately document patient care in the chart and maintain clear, timely clinical records
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and providers to deliver coordinated, person-centered care
• Support patient comfort and dignity through respectful, attentive bedside care
• Follow infection control standards and facility policies to maintain a safe environment
• Participate in shift handoffs and interdisciplinary rounds to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (eligible to practice in Maine)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Comfortable working an evening/PM shift (1:45 PM - 10:15 PM)
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare setting
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding and any required screenings prior to start

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Clear communication with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Good charting skills and ability to learn facility electronic medical records
