Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound exams, including upper and lower extremity DVT studies and carotid ultrasound, with accuracy and care
• Provide compassionate patient preparation and positioning to ensure high-quality imaging and patient comfort
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring image quality and adherence to protocols
• Document and communicate findings clearly in the imaging system and collaborate with interpreting physicians
• Participate in call rotation and respond professionally when summoned, supporting patient care across sites
• Float between hospital and imaging center locations as needed to meet patient and department needs

Qualifications

• ARDMS credential required, including Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Demonstrated vascular ultrasound knowledge and skill
• Ability to perform upper and lower extremity DVT studies and carotid ultrasound
• Comfortable with on-call/call rotation responsibilities and weekend or varied-day availability
• Experience working in hospital and imaging center environments and willingness to float between sites

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic Medical Sonography and vascular ultrasound techniques
• Upper and lower extremity DVT study protocols
• Carotid duplex imaging and interpretation fundamentals
• Patient positioning, safety, and compassionate bedside manner
• Operating ultrasound equipment and troubleshooting basic technical issues
• Clear documentation and effective communication with clinical teams
