Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Tuesday-Friday, 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM; Saturday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Day shift). Note: assignment references 8-hour day option 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM and a 40-hour work week; holidays off unless on call.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic echocardiography studies that directly inform patient care
- Operate and optimize the Toshiba Aplio CV imaging system to capture precise cardiac images
- Upload and manage studies in the PACS (Merge Unity) so the cardiology team has timely access
- Ensure accurate, clear documentation of findings and maintain professional records
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during exams while demonstrating compassionate bedside manner
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the imaging team to support diagnostic decisions
- Adhere to departmental quality assurance and infection control standards at all times
Qualifications
- Current Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required and current
- Prefer 5+ years of cardiac/echo experience
- Hands-on experience with Toshiba Aplio CV (experience without structured reporting required)
- Familiarity with PACS systems, specifically Merge Unity, is required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Knowledge & Skills
- Echocardiography and cardiac sonography best practices
- Proficiency with Toshiba Aplio CV ultrasound systems
- PACS workflow and image management (Merge Unity experience preferred)
- Patient positioning, scanning protocols, and image optimization
- Basic Life Support and safety-focused patient care
- Ability to produce clear diagnostic images and accurate documentation
