Shift Type: Day shifts, 10-hour shifts (exact start/end times and days vary by unit); daytime coverage with on-call responsibilities including STEMI call and a 30-minute response requirement

Roles & Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for referrals and patients, creating a welcoming and organized experience
- Attend patient consultations and perform thorough initial examinations and assessments
- Perform and assist with interventional procedures including cardiac catheterization, PCI, IVUS and IFR under physician guidance
- Insert and manage IABP when indicated and assist during STEMI activations
- Perform daily rounds and communicate patient progress clearly to the medical team and interventional radiologist
- Make informed recommendations to referring physicians, patients, and families under the radiologist’s guidance
- Document procedures and patient care accurately in Cerner and maintain up-to-date records
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience — required
- Experience with heart caths, PCI, IABP insertions, STEMI call, IVUS/IFR and interventional radiology cases — required
- Active Illinois state license (verification must be less than 30 days old)
- ARRT (RCIS will not be approved) — required
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) — active at time of submission
- COVID and Flu vaccinations required (no declinations approved) — please note vaccination status in submission
- Resume listing all facilities, skills checklist (less than 1 year old), and 2 supervisory references completed within the last year
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in cardiac catheterization lab workflows and interventional radiology techniques
- Hands-on experience with PCI, IVUS, IFR and IABP management
- STEMI activation protocols and rapid response readiness
- Strong patient assessment, monitoring and post-procedure care skills
- Competent documentation in Cerner and clear clinical communication
- Adherence to sterile technique and procedural safety standards
- Ability to work calmly under urgent/stemI call conditions
