Location: Bowie, MD
Shift Type: Varies (schedule set by facility), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and compassion
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report observations to nursing staff
- Provide compassionate companionship and engage residents in meaningful interactions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and resident observations
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and team members
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to deliver resident-centered care
Qualifications
- GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working the overnight (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) shift
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first mindset
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
- Basic infection prevention and safety procedures
- Observation and reporting of resident status changes
- Teamwork and effective communication with clinical staff
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
- Respectful, person-centered approach to geriatric care
