Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside nursing care to patients as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medications and treatments according to facility policy and provider orders
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, condition changes, and responses to treatment
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate, timely charting and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient education to promote safe transitions
- Uphold infection control standards and facility protocols to keep patients and staff safe
Qualifications
- Current, active LPN license (must be valid in the state of practice)
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (diploma or certificate)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from an accredited provider
- Comfortable working evening/night hours and providing direct patient care
- Strong communication skills, clinical judgment, and a team-first attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program (diploma or certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate dosing practices
- Basic clinical assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Clear, concise documentation and electronic charting comfort
- Patient-centered communication and family education
- Infection control principles and safe patient handling
