Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Harbor Hill Center
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs and document clinical changes accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and post-discharge care
• Escalate clinical concerns promptly and participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity
• Support facility quality and safety initiatives through best-practice nursing care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — eligible or current in Maine is preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS as applicable is a plus
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or related clinical setting preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Nursing Diploma or Practical Nursing diploma; BSN preferred where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing assessments, medication administration and documentation
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and clinical charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively and respond to emergencies
• Patient education, family communication and compassionate bedside manner
• Teamwork, adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement
