Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
- Document resident care and observations clearly in the chart
- Communicate changes in condition to the nursing team and participate in care planning
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
- Support residents' dignity and independence while delivering high-quality care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with transfers and mobility; ability to follow safe lifting practices
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to pass background check and required screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with ADLs, personal care, and basic nursing tasks
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and observe changes in condition
- Basic comfort with documentation and following care plans
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
