Roles & Responsibilities

• Position and immobilize patients safely and compassionately according to protocols
• Continuously assess and monitor patient hemodynamics and share critical changes with the team
• Perform conscious sedation and manage moderate sedation care when needed
• Mix, maintain, and administer IV/infusions and bolus medications accurately
• Interpret EKGs and hemodynamic pressure tracings to support timely clinical decisions
• Assist physicians during cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Provide Phase I recovery care, ensuring smooth and safe transitions from procedure to recovery
• Respond reliably and professionally for STEMI and other emergency activations

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - New York (must be uploaded with profile)
• Minimum 2 years current Cath Lab experience - required
• 2+ years experience in cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures - required
• ACLS and BLS certifications - required (current)
• Moderate Sedation Certification - highly preferred
• EP experience - highly preferred
• Proven ability to interpret EKG and hemodynamic pressure tracings - required
• Conscious sedation and IV/infusion management experience - required
• Reliable attendance history with no recent attendance concerns; strong teamwork and professionalism
• Traveler must have own vehicle for commute
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment
• Permanent address in profile that matches Driver License/State ID
• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate must be uploaded up front for submission
• Ability to complete a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance

Education

• Registered Nurse (RN) — nursing diploma, ADN, or BSN consistent with state licensure requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac catheterization procedures and interventional assistance
• EKG interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring
• Conscious sedation and moderate sedation practices
• IV access, infusion mixing, and medication administration
• STEMI recognition and rapid response workflow
• Familiarity with peripheral vascular procedures and cath lab equipment
• Verbal de-escalation skills and crisis prevention training preferred
• EP lab fundamentals and electrophysiology support (preferred)
• Epic electronic health record experience is a plus as facility is transitioning to Epic
