Location: Baltimore, Maryland

Shift Type: Days not specified, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
Assist residents with mobility and safe transfer techniques to promote independence
Take and record vital signs, and promptly report changes in condition to nursing staff
Document care accurately and thoroughly to keep the care team informed
Support residents’ social and emotional needs — be a friendly, reassuring presence
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver quality care

Qualifications

GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred or able to obtain
Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required immunizations
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus
Strong communication skills and a patient, respectful demeanor

Education

GNA certification (required)
High school diploma or GED (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and resident-centered care
Comfort with assisting residents with ADLs and mobility support
Ability to take accurate vital signs and recognize changes
Good charting and documentation habits
Strong teamwork, time management, and observational skills
