Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide compassionate hands-on care and emotional support to residents
- Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling to maintain independence
- Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required) — state-specific credential for geriatric nursing assistants
- Comfort and availability to work the 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM night shift
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
- Ability to follow care plans and document duties clearly
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with personal care and resident assistance
- Basic knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
- Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
- Teamwork-minded, dependable, and resident-focused
