Roles & Responsibilities
- Obtain and record vital signs (height, weight, pulse oximetry) to support high-quality patient care
- Room patients and document history, medications, and allergies to prepare providers for visits
- Set up and assist with nebulizer treatments and other pulmonary-related procedures
- Administer immunizations and intramuscular injections safely and efficiently
- Collect and label specimens accurately for lab processing
- Prepare charts and complete office duties such as authorization forms and pharmacy calls
- Administer TB tests and follow up with phone calls to ensure continuity of care
- Stock supplies and maintain exam room readiness to keep clinic flow smooth
Qualifications
- MA-C (Medical Assistant - Certified) REQUIRED — MA-R and MA-P are not eligible
- Minimum 6 months experience in an adult outpatient clinic (0.5 year required; 1 year preferred)
- EPIC charting experience is REQUIRED
- BLS and CMA certifications are preferred
- Reliable transportation required; travelers must provide their own transportation
- Willingness to float to the Issaquah clinic occasionally as needed
- First-time travelers accepted — we welcome motivated candidates
Knowledge & Skills
- Vital signs: height, weight, pulse oximetry and documentation
- Rooming patients and obtaining accurate history/medication/allergy information
- Charting in EPIC and chart preparation
- Administering medications, immunizations, and intramuscular injections
- Nebulizer treatment set-up and assistance
- Specimen collection and specimen labeling
- Office workflows: authorization forms, pharmacy calls, refill requests, stocking supplies
- Collaborating with Respiratory Services and interdisciplinary teams
