Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias to keep patients safe
• Respond effectively as part of Rapid Response and Code teams during emergencies
• Manage advanced cardiac and vascular care including pacemakers, post-cath patients and TR Band
• Deliver skilled respiratory support: BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy care and ABG interpretation
• Perform IV therapy, central line and PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Care for complex adult and geriatric patients with multiple comorbidities on a short-term acute unit
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Support unit needs by floating within scope to like units when required

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing (pending licenses are not accepted)
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum experience: 2 years MS/Telemetry experience preferred (first-timers accepted)
• Comfortable with night shifts and every-other-weekend coverage
• Familiarity with Epic charting preferred
• Ability and willingness to float within like units to meet facility needs

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac telemetry expertise
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• IV therapy, central line and PICC management
• Tracheostomy care and non-invasive airway management
• High Flow Nasal Cannula and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Chest tube care and Emerson/PleurEvac experience
• Feeding tube management and CBI/renal post-dialysis care
• Strong emergency response skills and comfort with Rapid Response/Code teams
• Familiar with Epic electronic charting and interdisciplinary collaboration
