Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the assigned shift
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status and care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team to support patient recovery
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and providers about care needs
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and shift reports
• Ensure infection control, safety protocols, and quality standards are followed
• Respond to emergencies and escalate concerns to appropriate clinical staff

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (New Mexico licensure or Compact licensure preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other certifications a plus
• Experience in rehabilitation, acute care, or related nursing settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently on per diem assignments and adapt to different team environments
• Reliable transport and ability to travel locally to the assigned facility as needed

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred but ADN holders encouraged to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and care planning
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with rehab nursing practices and mobility/safety protocols
• Electronic medical record documentation proficiency
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
