Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with facility policies
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and self-care
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and handoffs
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or eligibility via multi-state compact
• Per-diem or acute care nursing experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Current immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Ability to adapt to variable per-diem assignments and work effectively in fast-paced settings
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Wound care and basic procedures common to acute/rehab care
• Electronic medical record documentation and accurate charting
• Care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Infection control principles and patient safety practices
