Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report observations to the nursing team
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe use of assistive devices
• Support residents during meals, personal care, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Document care provided accurately and timely according to facility procedures
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Valid GNA certification or equivalent credential
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
• Comfort working with older adults and experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Flexible availability for per-diem shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care principles and senior mobility/safety
• Skilled in safe transfer techniques and personal care assistance
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
• Ability to follow care plans and collaborate with clinical staff
