Location: Baltimore, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (varies), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, day shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
Support safe mobility, transfers, and positioning to preserve patient comfort and safety
Take and record vital signs and promptly report any changes to the care team
Document care accurately and clearly in patient records
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention practices
Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
Help implement person-centered care plans that preserve dignity and independence

Qualifications

Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
Eligible for or currently holds any state-required certification to work in Maryland
Comfortable working evening shifts (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) on a per diem basis
Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills
Willingness to complete facility-required onboarding, background checks, and immunizations

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric care principles and dignity-focused care
Basic clinical skills including taking vital signs and assisting with mobility
Infection control and safety-minded approach
Accurate documentation and attention to detail
Strong observational skills and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
Collaborative attitude and good time management
