Location: Baltimore, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem schedule (days vary), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Day shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to geriatric residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
Support safe transfers and positioning using proper body mechanics
Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
Contribute to a positive, respectful environment that promotes resident independence

Qualifications

GNA certification (required)
Current state nursing assistant credential or equivalent
Comfortable working with older adults and patients with varying care needs
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Basic charting and documentation practices
Infection control and standard precautions
Good communication skills with residents, families and interdisciplinary teams
Time management and ability to prioritize tasks during a shift
