Location: Baltimore, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, days vary

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, respectful bedside care to geriatric residents
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and document vital signs and report changes in condition promptly
Support safe transfers and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Participate in shift handoffs and accurate charting to support excellent care

Qualifications

Current GNA certification required
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working night shifts and flexible per diem schedules
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Ability to pass required background checks and any facility screenings
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of a state-approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Basic nursing assistant skills including ADL assistance and mobility support
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Familiarity with charting and documentation best practices
Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced care environment
Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills with older adults
