Location: Baltimore, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to geriatric residents
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition promptly
Support safe mobility and fall-prevention measures for residents
Document care accurately and communicate observations to nursing staff
Follow facility policies, infection control procedures, and resident care plans
Build trusting relationships with residents and contribute to a warm, respectful environment

Qualifications

Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification
CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire if required by facility
Previous experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations is a plus
Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required immunizations
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a care team
Reliable, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic geriatric care needs and common age-related conditions
Skill in assisting with transfers, ambulation, and safe resident handling
Familiarity with documentation practices and basic vital sign measurement
Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
