Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Help with bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility while preserving dignity
- Measure and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Accurately document resident care and communicate observations to nurses and supervisors
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control procedures
- Support resident social and emotional needs through respectful, patient interaction
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or as required by facility
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
- Comfortable working 8-hour shifts and collaborating with a care team
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and personal hygiene assistance
- Basic monitoring of vital signs and reporting clinical changes
- Infection control and standard safety precautions
- Accurate charting and documentation practices
- Safe patient transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Teamwork, communication, and a resident-centered mindset
