Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct resident care including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and changes in resident condition accurately and promptly
• Support safe transfers, ambulation and mobility with proper technique
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families and interdisciplinary team to advocate for residents
• Maintain thorough documentation and follow facility care plans and protocols
• Practice infection control and safety standards to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (T-CNA accepted) — must be in good standing
• Proven experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or equivalent training
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required (T-CNA accepted)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care, bathing, grooming and toileting assistance
• Comfortable taking and documenting vitals and basic observations
• Familiarity with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Good charting and documentation practices
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to follow care plans and directions from nursing staff
