Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients using the nursing process and implement individualized plans of care
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Interpret diagnostic tests and communicate findings to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care
- Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and their families
- Document care thoroughly and participate in charting and handoffs
- Engage in performance improvement activities to promote positive patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current California RN license (required)
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification, ACLS, and PALS (required)
- Experience in acute care nursing and comfort with 12-hour night shifts
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing

- Nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation
- Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
- Medication administration and treatment implementation
- Interpreting diagnostic tests and recognizing changes in condition
- Patient and family education with cultural sensitivity

- Team collaboration and effective communication
