Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the nursing process and develop individualized plans of care
• Administer prescribed medications and dialysis treatments safely and according to policy
• Document patient care and clinical findings according to standards of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and shared governance
• Provide patient and family education to support continuity of care
• Use critical thinking to promote patient safety and escalate concerns appropriately
• Offer clinical guidance to other units as needed to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license required prior to start
• BLS and ACLS certifications required prior to start
• Experience or background in acute dialysis / dialysis nursing preferred
• Comfort working day shift with every-other-weekend and rotating holiday coverage
• Strong documentation, critical thinking, and patient education skills
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation (averages 3-4 days/month)
