Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team
• Document care and observations in the electronic medical record in a timely manner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Support patient and family education and provide reassurance during transitions
• Maintain a safe environment by following infection control and facility policies

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (able to work in New Mexico or hold a compact multistate license if applicable)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screening per facility policy
• Prior acute care or long-term care clinical experience preferred
• Travel-ready mindset with ability to adapt quickly to new teams and protocols

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (diploma or certificate)
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) depending on role

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Comfortable with overnight patient monitoring and escalation processes
• Proficient documentation skills in electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
• Basic familiarity with infection prevention and wound care principles
