Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients at Bear Canyon Rhb Ctr
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop clear, actionable care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document patient care and progress clearly in the medical record
• Respond promptly and effectively to patient changes and emergencies
• Support patient education, discharge planning, and transitions of care
• Model best practices and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (or compact licensure as applicable)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
• Prior acute care or rehabilitation nursing experience is preferred
• Comfort with overnight/overnight 12-hour shifts and working independently
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to meet facility onboarding and credentialing requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and documenting care accurately
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced overnight setting
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family communication
• Basic familiarity with common rehab and med-surg nursing protocols
• Good clinical decision-making and the ability to collaborate with a care team
