Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to patients consistent with CNA scope of practice
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility
• Take and record vital signs, report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and patient interactions
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Support a respectful, professional environment while working within a correctional facility setting
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Comfortable working the posted schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Ability to complete a two-week orientation prior to assignment start
• Willingness to undergo required background checks and facility clearances
• Basic patient care experience preferred; strong communication and teamwork skills required
• Current CPR/BLS preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• Active CNA certification in the state of California

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental patient care techniques and safe transfer/mobility practices
• Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
• Infection control principles and PPE use
• Strong observational skills and ability to escalate changes in condition
• Clear communication and teamwork within a structured clinical environment
• Professionalism and adaptability in a correctional healthcare setting
