Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging exams including X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Bone Density and Digital Mammography
- Operate imaging equipment safely and follow radiation protection protocols for patients and staff
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to obtain images that support fast, accurate diagnoses
- Prepare and position patients with compassion and clear communication, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and image records in PACS and other systems
- Assist with mobile PET-CT and Nuclear Medicine workflows as needed
- Participate in equipment quality control checks and report any issues promptly
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Current ARRT RT(R) credential required
- Current, unencumbered Oregon Radiologic Technology license required
- Healthcare Provider BLS required
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Comfortable using multiple modalities including Fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Digital Mammography
- Strong patient communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of radiographic techniques and cross-sectional imaging principles
- Experience with PACS and digital imaging workflows
- Understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Ability to manage a varied imaging schedule and prioritize urgent exams
- Good clinical judgment for patient positioning and protocol selection
- Professional bedside manner and clear communication with patients and colleagues
