Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care following facility policies and nursing best practices
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately within your scope
• Monitor patient condition and communicate changes clearly to the care team
• Document care timely and thoroughly to support continuity and compliance
• Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and comfort while promoting dignity
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to create and implement care plans
• Support discharge planning and patient education to help patients return home confidently

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing (Licensed Practical Nurse). Candidates who are Registered Nurses may also be considered depending on unit needs
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications welcomed
• Active, unrestricted license to practice in the state of Maine or ability to obtain state licensure
• Clinical experience in long-term care or medical-surgical settings is a plus
• Professional, patient-centered communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN) or an accredited nursing program for RNs

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Familiarity with common nursing assessments and vital sign monitoring
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Comfortable using electronic health records for charting and orders
• Good teamwork, critical thinking, and patient advocacy abilities
