Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and implement individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient status with timely interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless patient care
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Advocate for patient needs and promote a safe, compassionate environment

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license (ability to practice in New Mexico preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other advanced certifications preferred
• Comfortable and experienced working overnight/extended shifts in acute care settings
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to pass facility onboarding and background checks as required

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid foundation in medical-surgical and acute care nursing principles
• Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and monitoring
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and accurate charting
• Critical thinking and rapid decision-making in high-acuity situations
• Compassionate patient-centered care and effective family communication
• Time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
