Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT imaging studies using state-of-the-art CT equipment to support fast, accurate diagnoses
- Prepare and position patients safely and compassionately for CT procedures, ensuring patient comfort and dignity
- Operate CT scanner, select appropriate protocols, and optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure
- Follow established safety, infection control, and radiation protection policies at all times
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, technologists, and clinical teams to communicate findings and support patient care
- Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record and manage imaging data within PACS systems
- Maintain equipment readiness by performing routine QC checks and coordinating with service teams when needed
- Support a positive patient experience by educating patients about procedures and addressing questions or concerns
Qualifications
- Current ARRT RT(R) credential required
- Current ARRT CT credential required
- Current, unencumbered Oregon Radiologic Technology license required
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Strong patient care skills and commitment to safety and teamwork
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in CT scan techniques and cross-sectional imaging principles
- Solid understanding of radiologic technology best practices and radiation safety
- Comfortable with patient positioning, IV/contrast workflows, and monitoring during studies
- Familiarity with PACS, DICOM image handling, and electronic medical record documentation
- Effective communication and collaboration with radiologists and multidisciplinary care teams
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic QC checks
